Shelly and Chad Hedgepath's Journal

On August 5th, 2006, we moved from Franklin, Tennessee to begin mission work in southern Honduras. We are working with Mission Lazarus to build a Children's Home called Mission Lazarus Refuge which will provide a bright, Godly future for children who have been abused, neglected, and orphaned. Enjoy reading our personal journal and let us hear from you often. Let Your Light Shine!

AGUA

I have never been so happy to have water in my entire life. We went 7 days without water in our house. The motor to the pump burned out overnight and it took that long to get a new one. Fixing things in Honduras is not easy. One person tells you one thing, while something else is done. After we took it upon ourselves to buy a motor in Choluteca, our water was turned on. I learned a lesson from all of it. If you want something done, you have to do it yourself. I am thankful for our water though. Life without it is a little more difficult...and smelly!
